Austen Michael Lambert

2024-

My research focuses on the interplay between climate change, extreme climate events, and elemental cycles in soil ecosystems. In previous studies, I investigated how anthropogenic dust emissions have reshaped the geochemical composition of forest soils in Utah. Currently, my work centers on understanding the effects of wildfires on heavy metal cycling and geochemistry within forest soils, with the goal of uncovering critical insights into soil resilience and ecosystem health in a changing climate.
